Percocet, Percodan, Tylox – Oxycodone: Prescription Drug Abuse & Testing

Percocet, Tylox & Percodans are the different trade names of Oxycodone products.

Oxycodone is a 14-hydroxydihydrocodeinone, semi-synthetic opioid analgesic that occurs as a white, odorless, crystalline powder having a saline, bitter taste. It is a potentially addictive opioid analgesic medication synthesized from thebaine.

Oxycodone Prescription:

It was first introduced to the US market in May 1939 and is the active ingredient in a number of pain medications commonly prescribed for the relief of moderate to heavy pain. Oxycodone is prescribed for moderate to high pain relief associated with injuries, bursitis, dislocation, fractures, neuralgia, arthritis, and lower back pain. It is also used postoperatively and for pain relief after childbirth. It is a commonly used medication for treatment of pain in cancer patients.

Vicodin: Prescription Drug Abuse & Testing

Vicodin is a derivative of opium, which also used to manufacture heroin. It is the most widely known brand name for a combination of hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Some of its generic equivalents include brand names Lorcet, Lortab, Norco, Panacet and Zydone.

Vicodin Prescription:

Vicodin is one of the most widely prescribed opiate medications for treatment of moderate to severe pain in injury, illness, surgery or a chronic condition across the globe. Overall, it has been reported as an effective, well tolerated opioid for analgesic purposes. It is quite inexpensive, with a mild side effects profile. It is one of the most favored prescribed pain relievers as allergic reactions are highly unlikely with Vicodin.

"The Letter"

This is reprint of a letter from a most disgrunteled American. This reprint is being transmitted with approval of the author, Mrs Contraes and Glenn Beck. The author has succintly encapulsated my views and frustrations, and from the forced crashing of FNS/Glenn Beck web site, the views of millions of other Americans as well.

Take a few moments out of your busy day and carefully read her words. I’ve read few essays as powerful.

GLENN: I got a letter from a woman in Arizona. She writes an open letter to our nation’s leadership: I’m a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you’re willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now. You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would horribly feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut job am I? Will you please tell me?
